Dream it and we will build it.

Yorktown Custom House

This 1720s warehouse was a custom project for the Daughters of The American Revolution (DAR) Comte De Grasse Chapter in celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Custom House.

The Custom House, built about 1720 by Custom Agent Richard Ambler, is one of only twelve Historic Custom Houses in the United States. Maintained solely by the Chapter, the Custom House also hosts a museum and has been open to the public on Sundays from June to October since 1930 at no charge.

Below are more photos of our LEGO model of the Custom House.

Dioramas

Everybody likes to look at something made from LEGO bricks. Customers get drawn in by models of your products, displays of you at work or the tools you work with, retirement or departing gifts, and brand logos made from lego bricks.

For your home, we offer portraits or statues of your pets, furniture you’ve enjoyed (think about a bunk bed for the kids), sun dials in the yard, your favorite boat, car, plane, or sports teams’ logo for the wall.

The possibilities are endless and the process is fun. We will work together to design what you are dreaming and then build it for you. See more examples of dioramas below.

Custom portraits

We were pleased to create this portrait of Zeus. Our client wanted a mosaic portrait of her dad’s dog to give to him as a Christmas gift. Combining a picture of Zeus and a picture of their house, we created this one-of-a-kind portrait.

This portrait measures about 15” x 20” and has over 3000 LEGO bricks in it. The most challenging aspect of the build was that Zeus has a mostly black face so getting the contours of the nose and eyes required several designs. We made extensive use of the titanium colored 1x1 round brick.

Our design process consisted of printing the picture of Zeus on graph paper and building from that image. The client wanted the frame to highlight the flag draped across the front of the house.
